I think this may have happened to me after I added some new pages I saw a huge drop in my the serps I removed the work I had done and its slowly looking like its getting back to where it was.

Very bizzare situation I think its about being patient and waiting.

Nice write up. Good information.

I’ve launched a few sites in the last year and definitely noticed a trend in the way Google responds.

Regardless of whether you believe in the ‘Sandbox Theory’, it is impossible to ignore the fact that Google ’screens’ websites and monitors them in their younger days to see what’s happening.

As a webmaster you’ve always got to think about the long-game and plan for the future. Some of my sites get a dribble of traffic, but I’ll continue adding fresh, interesting content and trying to get links.

Don’t start a website if you’re expecting instant results.

In fact, I’d go as far as to say, that you should almost write-off the first year or so and any significant success should be seen as a bonus!

Many would probably disagree and tell their magical tales, but that’s the way I see it.

I find it interesting that whatever brings in the most reads, clicks, hits, etc., is considered to be “good”…there’s a reason a divide exists between journalism and marketing. Or, at least one should exist …I don’t know if the Medill school is teaching you that any longer.

I am still a flash fan, but too many bells and whistles do detract from content. But sometimes flash serves as the whistle to wake up the content. Good work here. Nice site. Solid info and I love media-ization. I promise to attribute.

I can’t stand for this anymore. The media should not be allowed to do this to a perfectly innocent politician. This is libel in every sense of the word.

I agree completely. Flash was cool in the beginning. Now it’s just annoying. When will web designers learn???
